Polyurea Seals for Vacuum Filling Stations
RAKU® TOOL PC-3411 / PH-3911-1 and WB-1250 for Industrial Sealing Solutions

How can highly precise seals for vacuum filling systems be manufactured economically, flexibly, and with long-term reliability?
Our latest case study demonstrates how TARTLER GmbH produces custom lid seals for its TAVA vacuum filling stations. The solution is based on RAKU® TOOL WB-1250 or WB-1404 board materials used for mold production, combined with the polyurea casting system RAKU® TOOL PC-3411 / PH-3911-1.
The result: durable, chemical-resistant, and highly resilient seals that ensure safe and stable production processes.
Challenge: Long-Term Reliable Sealing Performance
In vacuum filling stations, seals must perform reliably while withstanding high mechanical and chemical stresses.
Key requirements include:
- High elasticity and recovery properties
- Resistance to process media and cleaning agents
- Long service life under repeated stress
- High dimensional accuracy of the seal geometry
- Reliable processing and reproducible results
- Excellent moisture and temperature resistance for stable processing across a wide range of operating conditions
The production of such seals requires both high-performance elastomer systems and precision mold materials.
Manufacturing Process
From Design to Production-Ready Seal
The seal manufacturing process is carried out through close collaboration between TARTLER GmbH and RAMPF:
1. Seal Layout Design
Joint definition of the seal geometry and technical requirements.
2. CAD Data Creation
The CAD design of the seal is developed by TARTLER GmbH.
3. Mold Design
Development of the mold design by RAMPF Advanced Polymers.
4. CAM Data Preparation
Programming and preparation for CNC machining.
5. Mold Milling
Manufacture of the mold from RAKU® TOOL WB-1250 or WB-1404.
6. Mold Preparation
Sanding, polishing, and release agent application
7. Seal Casting
Initial production using RAKU® TOOL PC-3411 / PH-3911-1 on a TARTLER MDM6 dispensing system.
8. Serial Production
