Precision Materials & Engineered Solutions

for Marine Composites, Boat Building & Yacht Manufacturing

RAMPF delivers high‑performance materials that help marine manufacturers build large, complex parts with speed, accuracy, and long‑term stability.

Your Challenge:

Building large, complex marine components requires materials that deliver dimensional accuracy, long‑term stability, and consistent performance under variable environmental and thermal loads. Any deviation – warpage, shrinkage, or inconsistent cure – increases rework, prolongs cycle times, and impacts final quality.

Tooling Marine applications demand reliable, predictable materials engineered specifically for oversized structures, seamless surfaces, and repeatable precision.

Our Solution:

RAMPF provides a comprehensive portfolio of precision‑engineered materials specifically developed for Tooling Marine manufacturing. Our polyurethane and epoxy systems deliver outstanding dimensional stability, smooth machinability, fast processing, and dependable long‑term performance.

From tooling boards to close‑contour epoxy paste, infusion resins, fairing compounds: RAMPF solutions enable marine manufacturers to minimize finishing work, accelerate production, and achieve consistent, scalable quality.

FAQ

Polyurethane and epoxy tooling boards, epoxy tooling paste, laminating and infusion epoxy resin systems.

Marine composite manufacturing typically relies on polyurethane tooling boards, epoxy tooling pastes, infusion resin systems, structural adhesives, and fairing compounds. These materials enable manufacturers to build precise patterns and plugs for hulls, decks, and large composite structures while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

Tooling boards are used to manufacture plugs, molds, patterns, and prototypes for composite boats. Their dimensional stability, machinability, and thermal performance help reduce rework while improving mold accuracy and production efficiency.

Hull molds are commonly produced from patterns built using epoxy tooling pastes, tooling boards, or direct mold applications made out of epoxy tooling paste. These materials provide low shrinkage, excellent surface quality, long-term dimensional stability for large marine structures, and are easily finished with any commercially available paint.

Used for plugs, molds, patterns, master models, and direct composite part manufacturing.

Production molds are generally built with a composite laminate (polyester or epoxy) using an epoxy tooling paste pattern. In limited use applications, epoxy tooling paste can be used to create a direct mold eliminating the need for a pattern.

By using dimensionally stable tooling materials that minimize distortion and shrinkage and are easy to seal and polish to a Class A finish, manufacturers can achieve greater precision and surface quality.

Large hulls and decks demand precise tooling to ensure repeatable quality, seamless component fitment, and efficient integration across multiple suppliers.
