Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM)

Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) is a process for the production of plastic moulded parts. The two starting components are mixed shortly before application. The chemical reaction polyaddition produces a new material, usually polyurethane, from the two starting components. The chemical reaction takes place shortly after mixing the two starting components in the mixing chamber of the applicator.
