Our locations worldwide

The right mix makes all the difference: Grafenberg is just 30 minutes from Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, while also being nestled in the heart of the Swabian Alb UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in southern Germany. This is where our founder, Rudolf Rampf, once mixed the very first polyurethanes in an old gymnasium – the starting point for what has since grown into the international RAMPF Group. Grafenberg remains our headquarters to this day: RAMPF Holding manages the Group from here, and RAMPF Advanced Polymers develops and manufactures reactive resin systems in modern production facilities, including its 1,100 m² Innovation Center with advanced laboratory capabilities. Around 350 people work in Grafenberg, and many of them meet at lunchtime in our own canteen, the “Genusslabor”. After work, it’s worth heading to the outlet shopping town of Metzingen with its lively shopping streets and restaurants, or the picturesque university town of Tübingen.

Good vibrations are usually a good thing – but not at RAMPF Machine Systems in Wangen. Here, we manufacture machine beds from mineral casting, a material renowned for its outstanding vibration damping. As one the world’s largest producers of mineral casting, we help customers achieve greater precision and process stability. To guarantee this precision, our production hall is kept at a constant 20°C. Around 80 people work here on the edge of the Schurwald forest, in a village surrounded by nature and traditional orchard meadows, with the outdoors always close by. On the other hand, Stuttgart, the state capital, is just 40 minutes away.

Bessenbach, in the Spessart region of Lower Franconia, is one of the most precise places in Germany: at RAMPF Machine Systems’ precision grinding center, we grind components up to 7,000 mm in length and weighing up to 25 tons. To keep everything exact, the production hall is kept at a steady 20°C. And for lunch or after work, one of the region's favorite döner kebab spots is just around the corner.

Why is this RAMPF Advanced Polymers site located in the Palatinate Forest rather than in Grafenberg? The answer lies in history: Pirmasens was once the center of Germany’s shoe industry, and decades ago, the recycling of leftover shoe soles gave rise to what is today Europe’s largest chemical recycling plant for polyurethane residues. There is also an on-site laboratory, where our team is continuously exploring how even more residual materials can be transformed into valuable resources using our pioneering chemical recycling technology. Here, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword, it’s daily business.
