Wixom, MI, USA, 03/18/19.

RAMPF Group, Inc. is presenting its range of high-performance silicone and polyurethane foams used for IP sealing, BSR/NVH abatement, insulation, modeling, and light-weighting in the automotive, household appliance, electronic, packaging, energy technology, recreation equipment, and medical industries at Foam Expo 2019 in Novi, MI, March 26 - 28, Booth 1322.

RAMPF Group, Inc., based in Wixom, MI, offers more than 400 foam formulas. At Foam Expo 2019, the company is featuring the following products:

> RAKU® PUR and RAKU® SIL – Safe & Silent Household Appliances

The RAKU® PUR and RAKU® SIL portfolios of automated gasketing include systems with flame-retardant properties to UL 94 (HF-1, HF-2, HBF) and enhanced UV stability. These technologies also offer IP (Ingress Protection) ratings to safeguard equipment from incidental splashing to high-pressure spray and submersion in water and chemicals as well as other fluids. The sound suppression and vibration-damping properties of RAMPF’s sealing systems contribute significantly to the stable and silent operation of household appliances. They cover a temperature range from -60 °C to +250 °C and are used, amongst others, in components for refrigerators, freezers, dryers, dishwashers, washing machines as well as sealing sinks and hot water heaters.

> RAKU® PUR – Maximum Performance in the Cold, Rain, Snow or Frost

RAKU® PUR 31-3194 and RAKU® PUR 32-3294 polyurethane resins for electrical enclosures and control cabinet doors ensure minimal swelling under icy conditions together with a reliable, lasting seal. The resin systems boast outstanding adhesion to a wide range of housings (stainless steel, aluminum, powder coatings, plastic, glass) and cover a temperature range from -40 °C to +90 °C (+130 °C for short periods). Further advantages: very short tack-free time, which facilitates fast assembling processes, low air loading, and low viscosity (height/width ratio 1:2 possible). Applications throughout the housing, lighting, and automotive sectors.

> RAKU® PUR Speed – Tack-free in Minutes

RAKU® PUR Speed technology offers the unique synergy of long open time for ease of processing with short tack-free and full-cure times. This combination allows the sealing of complex, high-volume parts with minimal WIP, labor, and equipment cost.

> RAKU® PUR 34 Rigid Foams

Rigid foams are construction materials with a low density and closed-cell structure that are processed using high or low pressure with suitable molds. RAKU® PUR 34 rigid foams are particularly suited for lightweight moldings that have to comply with certain static requirements.

Fields of application include appliance and machine parts as well as components for vehicles and sports equipment.

Special advantages include:

  • short reaction and demolding times to increase productivity
  • high mechanical strength for reliable performance
  • excellent vibration damping, noise reduction, and thermal insulation
  • reduced material cost to improve profitability
  • lower part weight for improved performance and cheaper packaging options

> RAMPF – Material and Machinery from a single Source

RAMPF Group, Inc. offers a unique proposition on the market, as it develops and produces both the sealing systems and the static/dynamic mixing & dispensing systems for their reliable processing.
