Achieving Great Things Together

Grafenberg, Germany, 12/22/25.

Plenty of goals and saves by the home team combined with the generosity of over 1,500 handball fans: At yesterday’s Bundesliga match of TUSSIES Metzingen, a total of 13,000 euros was raised for the “Help for Sick Children” Foundation of the University Hospital Tübingen.

The match between TuS Metzingen and VfL Oldenburg at the Paul Horn Arena in Tübingen was all about “Top-Class Handball for a Good Cause.” The TUSSIES sponsors had launched a special initiative: For every goal and every save by the home team, 315 euros were donated to the “Help for Sick Children” Foundation of the University Hospital Tübingen.

Accordingly, every one of the 30 goals and 10 saves by the Metzingen goalie was celebrated enthusiastically – resulting in an impressive 12,600 euros for a good cause.

Thanks to the fans’ generosity at the Paul Horn Arena, this amount was increased by an additional 400 euros. The “Help for Sick Children” team was on site with an information booth and interactive activities for all ages, while the TUSSIES placed numerous donation boxes throughout the venue.

Michael Rampf, CEO of the RAMPF Group:

A heartfelt thank you to all participating sponsors, the dedicated foundation team, and the amazing fans who created a fantastic atmosphere and generously donated to help sick children. Together, we have achieved something truly great! A special thanks to the ‘Pink Ladies’ for an exciting, high-class match and to the club officials for supporting this wonderful initiative.

Thomas Hassel, Chairman of the “Help for Sick Children” Foundation of University Hospital Tübingen:

Every child – no matter their illness – deserves the very best medical care and heartfelt support. Thanks to this incredible contribution, we can bring to life projects that go far beyond treatment alone, offering precious moments to seriously ill children and their families.

For 25 years, “Help for Sick Children” has been committed to ensuring that sick children receive the best possible treatment, counseling, and support – during their hospital stay and beyond. At the same time, it strengthens those who accompany the children through this difficult time: doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and family members.

Among the very special guests at yesterday’s game were Dunja Schenk, a member of the foundation’s board of trustees, and her son Moritz. Four years ago, Moritz fought for his health after a serious bicycle accident and received comprehensive care at the children’s hospital. Today, he steps onto the handball court full of energy and enthusiasm – a powerful example of how medical care and human support can truly change lives.

A big thank you to the participating sponsors of TUSSIES Metzingen:
