RAKU® TOOL Synthetic Resins
Our synthetic resins are based on polyurethane and epoxy and cover a vast number of applications as well as various processes such as casting, painting, bonding and modeling.
Epoxy Casting Resin - metal filled for high compressive loads
Properties
- Good mechanical properties
- Low sensitivity to moisture during processing
- Easy to cast
- High density/weight
- Ferrous, therefore magnetic
Applications
- Filling of cracks in stone and concrete floors
- Strong fixation of anchor points
- Weighing down items
- Attachment points for magnets
Epoxy Laminating and Multipurpose Resin - room temperature curing, low viscosity
Properties
- Low viscosity
- Low odor development
- Good adhesion to wood and minerals
- Low sensitivity to moisture during processing
Applications
- Protecting and sealing of surfaces
- Impregnation and priming of surfaces for further processing
- Compensate for unevenness by adding in as filler
Modeling and Repair Paste
Properties
- Good kneading properties
- Good adhesion to most surfaces
- Easy to sculpt with classic modeling tools
- Excellent finishing with woodworking tools
- Low sensitivity to moisture during processing
- Low density/weight
- Color similar to wood

Polyurethane Fast Cast Resin - can be processed filled or unfilled

- High strength
- Very thin liquid when unfilled

- Filling and sealing compound for cracks and holes
- Suitable as a fast adhesive for many material combinations
