Filler material for highly dynamic machine components

A FILLER MATERIAL WITH EXCELLENT DAMPING PROPERTIES AND A VERY LOW DENSITY OF JUST 0.7 G/CM³

Brand new – excellent damping – ultralight. EPUMENT Ultralight Flow. Discover the future – RAMPF Machine Systems has once again lived up to this ambition by developing EPUMENT Ultralight Flow, a damping lightweight construction filler with an extremely low density of 0.7 g/cm³.

EPUMENT Ultralight is a completely new kind of material based on epoxy resin, with a special lightweight filler and a very low density of just 0.7 g/cm³. Thanks to this low density and outstanding vibration damping, EPUMENT Ultralight Flow is ideal as a vibration-damping filler for components with dynamic movement.

The benefits for you

  • Welded thin-metal sheet constructions are filled with EPUMENT Ultralight Flow and then undergo further processing
  • There is no need to use complex production processes or expensive materials such as carbon-fiber-reinforced plastics for lightweight constructions
  • Lower costs, shorter throughput times, and great availability
  • Outstanding eco credentials – EPUMENT Ultralight Flow consists of over 90 % natural raw materials and cures at room temperature without the need for additional heat

Procuring or providing simple thin-metal sheet constructions

To minimize the weight, it is possible to deliberately avoid solid sheet constructions.

The filler material improves the component’s rigidity and vibration damping many times over.

Filling the material into the sheet construction

The filler material is filled into the designated areas of the sheet construction and spreads evenly inside.

The sheet construction’s sandblasted inner surfaces and the epoxy resin in the filler material create a sandwich construction with excellent long-term stability.
