An Investment for the Customer

Grafenberg, Germany, 07/05/23.

RAMPF Polymer Solutions has expanded the machinery of its Application Technology department. The new dispensing robot DR-CNC is used for customer sampling of sealing, casting, and bonding resins and will further accelerate the company's R&D activities.

Karl Pracht, Team Lead Application Technology at RAMPF Polymer Solutions, an international manufacturer of reactive resin systems based on polyurethane, silicone, and epoxy:

This acquisition is an investment for our customers. On the one hand, the DR-CNC dispensing robot of our sister company RAMPF Production Systems offers additional capacities to adapt our materials even more precisely and quickly to customer applications. On the other, we will drive forward our R&D activities for the development of new products.

The key benefits of the new DR-CNC dispensing robot:

  • Ultra-precise linear axes with variable X-Y-Z strokes for three-dimensional dispensing of sealing, casting, and adhesive materials
  • 2,500 mm wide X-axis for machining large components
  • State-of-the-art Siemens Sinumerik One CNC system including HT 10 handheld terminal
  • Circular cooler for temperature control for higher cost efficiency and better accessibility

The Application Technology department at RAMPF Polymer Solutions comprises five employees and eight high-tech machines. These include a six-axis robot from KUKA, a specially developed machine for testing electro casting resins, and a mobile system for spray and casting applications.

Material and machine synergies

The enormous synergy potential between RAMPF Polymer Solutions and RAMPF Production Systems is a unique selling point of the international RAMPF Group – and a decisive competitive advantage.

The combination of material and processing expertise results in significantly faster time-to-market in dynamic industries such as automotive, electrical/electronics, medical technology, and white goods.

Eduard Roth, Head of Application Technology at RAMPF Production Systems, a leading manufacturer of production systems with integrated dispensing technology:

Customers are increasingly demanding holistic solutions for their applications. Therefore, materials and automated manufacturing processes must be taken into account together right from the start. The cooperation of our materials, engineering, application technology, and automation experts contributes significantly to fulfilling these growing demands quickly and efficiently. In addition, we organize so-called TecDays, in-house events in which we regularly discuss future trends and how these can be implemented for the good of our customers.
