Dynamic mixing

The dynamic mixing process uses a mixer, powered by an electric servomotor, that is agitated and rotates within the mixing head to mix two or more material components. The size of the mixing chamber must be optimized in line with the dispensing rate. The mixers used can take various forms, depending on the material.

Dispensing pumps convey components into the mixing chamber via pneumatic needle valves or synchronous valves. Rapid cleaning is essential after the dispensing process, because the reactive liquid plastics that combine in the mixing chamber set relatively quickly, depending on their reaction time. All RAMPF machines with dynamic mixing have a highly effective automatic rinsing system that conserves resources by circulating the rinsing medium.
