Elastomer

Dimensionally stable but elastically deformable plastics whose glass transition point is below the operating temperature are referred to as elastomers. The plastics can deform elastically under load, but then return to their original, undeformed form. Examples of elastomers are e. g. tyres, rubber bands, sealing rings etc.
