Hotmelt

Hotmelts are thermoplastic and reactive hotmelt adhesives. They are solid at low temperatures and convert into a liquid state by heat input as soon as their melting / softening point is reached.  Adhesion is achieved by applying the liquid hotmelts to adhesive surfaces, while cohesion is attained by cooling the hotmelts, which then develop internal strength and hardness.  Reactive hotmelts undergo post-crosslinking by the influence of moisture to form an elastomer after the physical setting process.
