Corona Update: April 27, 2020
Dear Customers, dear Partners,
The coronavirus has plunged the world into an unprecedented crisis and is very likely to stay with us for the coming weeks and months. Almost every day there are new reports, guidelines, prohibitions, and forecasts, which also affect the economy.
The top priority for RAMPF is to protect the health of our employees whilst fulfilling our obligations to customers and partners in the best possible way.
The situation at RAMPF is as follows:
Germany – We have implemented the new occupational safety measures at all of our locations. Among other things, we have provided all employees with ten respiratory masks that can also be used outside the work place.
USA – Our plant in Wixom, MI, had to close mid-March, as it was classified by the state as not of systemic importance. However, we are still active in some areas, both in Wixom and our locations in St. Johns and Georgia. A reopening is planned for May 4, and we are currently preparing the necessary precautionary measures.
Canada–RAMPF Composite Solutions was classified as systemically important. Thus, the production is continuing in compliance with the respective specifications. The entire production building was disinfected with a UV-C LightStrike disinfection robot, and all employees work with protective masks.
China – As is well known, the virus first appeared in here. After the Chinese New Year, both RAMPF plants were closed for almost two weeks. In the meantime, production has been ramped up again, and our employees are working full-time while observing the existing protective measures.
Japan – The state of emergency in Japan affects RAMPF to the extent that customer visits are currently not possible. All of our employees are working from home.
Korea – Whilst public life in Korea is very quiet, business for our joint venture RAMPPF Korea is currently going well.
The following applies worldwide – To minimize the risk of infection, we have reduced visits and business trips to an absolute minimum. In addition, the number of employees who work in our company on site was significantly reduced. Accessibility via telephone and email is, of course, guaranteed.
In order to minimize the risk of infection, we have reduced visits and business trips to an absolute minimum. In addition, the number of employees who work on site at our companies has been significantly reduced. However, we are always there for you via telephone and email.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Unfortunately, these measures are inevitable given this unprecedented challenge.
We are monitoring the situation very closely and evaluating possible implications on our production and delivery processes. We will inform you immediately should this be necessary.
