Thermoplastic

In contrast to elastomers and duromers, thermoplastics are chain-shaped and non-crosslinked plastics. Therefore, thermoplastics can be melted and deformed under the direct influence of heat. The deformation process is reversible and the plastic is damaged by excessive cooling and heating. The deformation process is reversible, which means that the melting and deformation process can be repeated as often as desired. However, it must be noted that the plastic is damaged by excessive flushing and heating.
