Elongation at break

The elongation at break is  a parameter for the mechanical strength of a material. It is a material characteristic value that calculates the ductility of a material during a tensile test. The elongation at break is given as a percentage and measures the permanent change in length of a material after breakage in relation to its initial length.  (% of elongation vs. initial size when break occurs).
