Polymers

A polymer is a chemical compound made up of chains or rings of repeating structural units (macromolecules), which consist of monomers. Polymers are formed by polymerization, whereby smaller molecules (monomers) are linked together to form a large macromolecule. Polymers are the main component for the production of plastics.
